Instructions for Preparation

1. Use a clean bowl to mix the feed with warm water (35-37°C) according to the age of the bird as directed on the feeding chart. Boil the water before usage to guarantee safety or use bottled water.
2. Mix until smooth and allow to settle for 1-2 minutes. Then stir again to avoid separation.
   Note: Do not use a microwave oven! Microwaving can create "hot spots" in the feed, which may lead to accidental burns in the crop.
3. Test the temperature of the feed (35-37°C).
4. Feed the nestling until the crop is nicely rounded and full. Do not overfeed to avoid regurgitation! The baby bird should be fed every 3-4 hours during the day, but only after its crop is empty or nearly empty.
5. The feed should be prepared fresh before every meal!

Note: The weight of each meal should be equivalent to 10-12% of the baby bird’s body weight.
